Apartment in “House on Mosfilmovskaya”, Moscow
This 115 m2 apartment is located in a contemporary high-rise building designed by architect Sergey Skuratov. Due to the specifics of modernist design of the building part of the walls inside of the apartment are inclined towards the centre of the rooms by 30 degrees. The necessity to visually and functionally correct this peculiarity became one of the most important aspects in our design. We managed to create a space with regular geometry using build-in cupboards and textile drapes.
The apartment is designed for a family of three — parents and a child. The plan is simple and functional: there are living room, kitchen, main bedroom, kid’s bedroom, entrance hall and two bathrooms. The kitchen and the living room are connected with glass doors, designed by our bureau.
The interior is styled in American version of the classics. The colour scheme is contrasting — the walls are light, and most of the furniture elements are dark wood. Occasional sparks of colour and careful selection of wallpapers and textiles make this interior both visually intense and light.
